Venus Williams may be best known for bringing her A-game on the tennis court, but she’s no slouch when it comes to style, either.
The 40-year-old athlete launched her EleVen by Venus Williams activewear line in 2007, and recently released a limited-edition collaboration with K-Swiss in November.
“I am obsessed with the plaid baby tee ($89) because of its sustainability elements,” Williams told Page Six Style of her favorite piece from the capsule.
“It’s made from Repreve fabrics made from 100% recycled materials. There are seven recycled bottles used in every tee, so it’s a piece you look good in and feel good about wearing.”
Another top pick is the K-Swiss Classic 66 sneaker ($120). “It goes with anything in my closet and is perfect to slip on when I’m taking my dog Harry for a walk,” she explained. “Everyone needs a classic white sneaker in their life.”
Over the course of her decades-long tennis career, the seven-time Grand Slam singles champ has also perfected her on-court beauty regimen — which starts, always, with SPF. She even teamed up with Credo Beauty last year to create two mineral sunscreens free of chalky white residue.
“It’s so silky, so velvety and blends with all skin types,” Williams raved of her EleVen by Venus Williams x Credo Beauty Unrivaled Sun Serum SPF 35 ($50). “I put this on every single morning to protect my skin from the sun when I’m on the court. Wrinkles are no joke!”
Milani Stay Put Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil ($7.99) is another must-have. “I wear it on the court and no matter how hot it is, how much I sweat or how long the match is, it is still smudge-free at the end of the day,” she said.
But it’s Asutra’s Ultra Magnesium Oil Spray ($15.99) that the pro tennis player counts as her true secret weapon.
“I train several hours a day, both in the gym and on the court, and that can definitely take a toll on my body. Asutra’s magnesium products have been a lifesaver when it comes to soothing my joint pain and muscle aches after a grueling practice,” she said.
“My body needs to be able to bounce back quickly so I can perform my best, and [the spray] helps me do that.”
