Earlier today, Buckingham Palace updated all the fans on how Prince Philip has been doing since his hospitalization! As you might know, the 99 year old royal developed an infection, which is why he was ordered to remain at King Edward VII’s Hospital for further observation following his initial health scare.
However, now, it was reported that Queen Elizabeth II’s husband has been transferred to St Bartholomew’s Hospital where he will be undergoing some more testing!

As per the Palace, the doctors there ‘will continue to treat him for an infection, as well as undertake some testing and observation for a pre existing heart condition.’
They went on to add that Philip is still ‘comfortable and responding to treatment but he is expected to remain in hospital until at least the end of the week.’
The man has been in the hospital since February 16, at first going there as a precautionary measure since he was not feeling too well.

Then, the specialists at the London hospital discovered the infection and he is still receiving medical care, as a result.
Not too long after the first news about his hospitalization, NBC News Royal Commentator Camilla Tominey took to Twitter to stress that Philip’s condition is ‘not thought to be Covid-19 related. He also walked in unaided. Queen remains at Windsor Castle.’
This made sense since it’s public knowledge that both Queen Elizabeth and her husband have already received their vaccines.
‘His Royal Highness would like to thank everyone who sent their good wishes,’ the palace went on to share.
In the last few years, Prince Philip has been struggling with his health problems quite a bit, which has been even more concerning because of his old age.
That being said, he has not been involved in any Royal responsibilities or shown up at official events since 2017.
