While chatting with Oprah Winfrey, the talk show host revealed the reason why he’s decided to get healthier with the help of Weight Watchers (aka WW)! James Corden got candid during the interview, revealing that the stigma he’s been experiencing has really hurt him.
As you might know, Oprah hosted the WW Your Life in Focus virtual event earlier today and a couple of famous names were part of it, including Jennifer Garner, Ciara, and of course, James!

After Oprah shared a video in which the host announced his plans to drop some pounds and focus on his health, he stated: ‘Even just watching that video, it makes me feel quite emotional because I really have felt that every year. I really have had that feeling of like the definition of madness really isn’t it to just keep doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting different results, which is never going to happen.’
He went on to reveal that the main reason why he’s hesitated to try and be healthier is the stigma against men doing that sort of thing.
‘As a man, it’s historically seen as [not] very sexy to say that you are on a diet, or it’s not very manly somehow to want to make changes in your own health. Because men drink beer, and we go out, and it doesn’t matter what you look like, and all those things.’

However, Corden made it very clear that he’s totally changed his attitude on that in the meantime.
Besides, his wife is very supportive and that is not only really helpful but at the end of the day, it’s also all that matters!
‘I actually think, I think it is the single most positive and sexy thing you can do to say, ‘I would like to be a bit healthier. I would like to be the healthiest person to my family for my children. I would like to feel better.’ My wife has been incredible in this, in my whole journey with food she’s been really, really amazing with me. And I’ve really found this past five weeks like I’m on the start of a journey that I’m determined to finish, and I feel that I can.’
At this point in the interview, James was proud to reveal that he has already lost no less than 16 pounds.
Aside from eating healthy, the host revealed that he’s also been exercising a bit, although he confessed that it’s not his favorite thing to do.
