From the Capitol to the catwalk.
After making history as the youngest inaugural poet last week, Amanda Gorman has signed with IMG Models.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the deal will provide the 22-year-old Harvard grad with brand endorsements and editorial opportunities.
The announcement is the latest in a string of accomplishments for the Los Angeles native, who first captivated audiences during a performance of her original poem “The Hill We Climb” at President Biden’s swearing-in ceremony.
Gorman, who wore a bright yellow Prada coat and red satin headband ($380) along with jewelry gifted by Oprah Winfrey for her big appearance, quickly emerged as a style star to watch.

Following the historic moment, her books also shot to the top of Amazon’s bestseller list.
Supermodel Gigi Hadid, who is also signed with IMG, applauded Gorman’s new gig on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Werk @amandasgorman @imgmodels faaaaam! Major.”
Perhaps Gorman will soon write her own ticket to Hadid-level supermodel status.
