Fans think Meghan Markle hinted at baby’s sex with $1K ring

Is Meghan Markle hinting at the sex of her unborn child with a ring?

Fans have combed through the ex-royals’ most recent public appearance and are suggesting that Markle’s pink sapphire ring is a coded hint that they’re expecting a baby girl.

Page Six Style highlighted the Oscar de la Renta dress worn by Markle for her appearance in Spotify’s Stream On event Monday, the first appearance the couple made since announcing Markle’s pregnancy. But it was the new ring on Markle’s right hand, an Ecksand rose-cut pink sapphire ($1,144), that spurred multiple comments on Instagram.

“Is the ‘pink’ ring an ‘indication/hint’ that it might be a little girl?” read one comment, per the UK’s Sun, while another asked if the ring was Markle’s “subtle way of saying I’m having a GIRL.”

According to the website, the ring is available in 14k and 18k yellow gold and made with 100 percent sustainable recycled gold.

The couple filmed the Spotify event — which plugged their multimillion-dollar deal with Spotify — from their $14 million Santa Barbara mansion

Markle and Harry announced they’re expecting their second child on Valentine’s Day. Markle wore a Carolina Herrera dress, which was custom-made during her first pregnancy.

The first podcast from the Sussexes’ dropped in late December and featured audio diaries from star-studded names like Sir Elton John, Stacey Abrams and Tyler Perry, along with a cameo by their son Archie, who will turn 2 in May.
