Dalton Risner’s offseason got off to a sparkling start.
On Saturday, the Denver Broncos offensive guard proposed to girlfriend Whitney Clampitt at her family home, where “Marry Me?” was spelled out in twinkling lights.
“Forever will never be long enough for me,” Clampitt posted to Instagram.
Working with Kay Jewelers‘ virtual consultants, Risner, 25, later presented Clampitt with a custom 2.5-carat diamond ring in a classic oval cut with a hidden halo.

“Kay Jewelers made our special moment become one we would have never imagined possible,” the future newlyweds said in a statement.
The 41st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Risner just finished his second season with the Broncos.
Risner isn’t the only NFL player to recently announce an engagement. In February, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got engaged to actress Shailene Woodley.
